Summery :Caberlin 0.25 mg is a dopaminergic medication. It contains Cabergoline which is used for treatment of disorders caused due to hyperprolactinemia. If there are high blood levels of prolactin hormone, it is referred to as hyperprolactinemia. It can also be used to treat Parkinson's disease. Bodybuilders use Cabergoline to decrease decrease side effects such as gynecomastia caused due to steroids. It is manufactured by Sun Pharma.

Uses :Caberlin contains Cabergoline, which is a dopamine receptor agonist. Cabergoline is used to bring down the high blood levels of prolactin in patients suffering from hyperprolactinemia. It is used to treat production of excess breast milk after childbirth, missed periods, difficulty in conceiving, reduced fertility, and bone loss. It is also used for patients suffering from Parkinson's disease, where the transmission of the dopamine neurotransmitter in the brain is decreased. It can be used to cure the symptoms of Parkinson's which include body stiffness, shaking (tremor), reduced muscle control, imbalance, and sluggish body movement. It is used by bodybuilders to increase muscle mass and lose fat.

Dosage :Doctors recommend a dose of 0.25 gm Caberlin twice a week. For women who want to prevent lactation immediately after childbirth, the recommended dosage is 1 mg of Caberlin tablets on the first day after delivery. Women who wish to stop breastfeeding after they have started lactation should have 0.25 mg Caberlin tablets every 12 hours for 2 days.

Do's and Don'ts :Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver disease, hypertension, stomach ulcers or allergies. Caberlin is contraindicated in patients who are using other ergot alkaloids for the treatment of migraine and headaches.
